Brief
The customer approached ISTO to renovate an existing villa on the island of Palm Jumeirah into a luxurious but, at the same time, minimalistic and calm place to relax from everyday routine. At the request of the customer, we added a third floor, modernize the facade part to a more modern and spectacular one and designed interior of the villa.
Concept
We combined the monumentality required by space with the comfort needed for a holiday home. The architectural solution of the project is straight lines, symmetry, and grandeur. Light-colored stones and glass as the main materials of the facade, and the absence of fences creates a sense of openness and makes the house an architectural dominant of the area.
Planning
In the central area of the first floor, there is an atrium with a majestic waterfall. This complements the naturalistic look of the villa. Considering the peculiarities of the customer's way of life, we have planned two living areas — men's and women's. The house also has many staff rooms. On the second and third floors, there are bedrooms, a gym, and spaces for children. A spiral staircase with lighting connects the floors.
Design
The absence of intense accents, wood, beige color of the walls and green islands in the middle of the central area in the interior emphasize villa’s peaceful mood. Panoramic windows offer a spacious view of the bay, which ultimately complements the relaxing atmosphere.
